What is rapid antigen testing?

Rapid COVID-19 antigen testing made by Quidel and run on Sofia-2 machine is available to patients who have been in close contact with someone who has a confirmed COVID-19 test result or to patients with COVID-19 symptoms. The test is performed after doing a telemedicine visit with one of our providers to ensure it is done at the right time. Testing too early after exposure can increase the risk of a false negative result. We are doing testing at a specific time of the day in order to limit the exposure of our staff. The specimen is collected in your car, and you will get your results back by the end of business day. Charges will be submitted to your insurance carrier. However, you are responsible for any charges not covered by your insurance.

Is Pediatrics of Arlington offering telemedicine?

We are pleased to announce that we now are offering scheduled telemedicine visits in order to allow continued care while eliminating the risk of exposure to patients and family.
