What is patient portal?

The Patient Portal is an online service that provides patients secure access to their health information. Various features may be available on the portal at your practice's discretion, including the ability to send messages to your health care providers, schedule appointments, and pay bills online.

How to reset password on patient portal?

Sign in to the Patient Portal, go to Security Settings, and reset your password. Click Forgot your password on the sign-in page and enter your email address to request a password reset email. Contact your provider's office and request a password reset email.

Can a patient register for the Patient Portal?

Any active patient may be eligible to register for and use the Patient Portal. If you are authorized, a family access account can be created that will allow you to access selected family members' health information.

What is family access?

A family access account allows you to access multiple patients' information using one Patient Portal account. If you are a patient at the practice, you can also view your own information using the same account. Your access level to each patient is managed by the patient or by the practice.

Can you make your test results available on the patient portal?

It is at your provider's discretion to make test results available. Your provider must authorize the release of your test results in order for them to post to your Patient Portal account. Only test results which are considered appropriate for release will be accessible through the Patient Portal.

What is SSL encryption?

This secure connection utilizes industry standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to ensure secure data transmission as well as server-side digital certificate authentication. To prohibit unauthorized access, all medical information is stored behind our firewall in our electronic medical record system.

Can family members sign in to separate accounts?

Family members cannot sign in to separate accounts using the same e-mail address. Instead, you can set up a family access account so that one family member has access to both family members' information. What is the purpose of the Patient Portal Administration tool?

Your practice can use the Patient Portal Administration tool to grant individuals the right to access a patient’s information after they are over the emancipation age. Do this for the patient themselves if they use My Kid’s Chart, or when special circumstances apply for an adult patient with a guardian.

Can parents use my kid's chart?

Parents and patients can use PCC’s patient portal, My Kid’s Chart, to access their medical records. Your practice manages the login account, and grants secure access to each patient’s records. Read the sections below to learn how to create and configure patient portal accounts.

Can a PCC handle emancipation?

Depending on your state or region’s regulations, emancipation age can vary. PCC can handle whatever age your patients’ medical records become their own. For more detailed information about patient privacy in the portal and elsewhere in PCC EHR, read the Patient Privacy Features Overview article.

Is online payment secure?

These provisions protect your financial information, but should not be considered perfect. Some amount of risk remains and you, the owner of the financial data and user of the portal, assume that risk.

Can you use the Portal for urgent care?

The Portal should never be used for urgent matters. If you have symptoms that may require medical intervention or treatment in a timely manner, please call the office 901-396-0390, call 911 or go to an emergency room, as appropriate under the circumstances.
