Is it secure?

The first priority is patient privacy and the safety of patient information. For that reason, each patient has to sign up in person at the physician’s office. If you attend more than one Washington University center, you only have to sign up once.

What if I have questions about the portal?

Washington Health System’s goal is to enhance patient-provider communication, while helping you to manage your own care on your schedule. Once you become a myWHS portal member, you will have access to any of the available information 24/7. This allows you to communicate with our office at your convenience. Since communication is a key to preventative medicine, this portal is a valuable aspect of our goal to provide great patient care.

MyChart offers many features to help you manage your care. The chart below shows all the features that existed before March, and the helpful new features we’ve added.

Can I add a record of my COVID-19 vaccine to MyChart if I received it outside the UW Medicine system?

Yes. You may do this by sending a photo of your vaccine card to your provider through MyChart or by bringing your vaccine card to your next appointment with a UW Medicine provider. If you received your vaccination through UW Medicine, there is no need to do anything as a record of your vaccination will be added automatically to our system.
