Do I need a myWakeHealth account if I already have a myUNCChart account?

Yes, to message your doctors and view all future records from any appointments scheduled after September 1, 2018, you will need a myWakeHealth account.

When can I join myWakeHealth?

You can join now! Use your enrollment email or sign up online. If you already have a myWakeHealth account, you do not need to re-enroll.

What happens to my previous portal account (s)?

You will still have full access to your existing myUNCChart to view your past medical record information. Only the last two years of your test results and any immunizations will migrate into myWakeHealth, but you can easily manage and view your two accounts by using Happy Together within myWakeHealth. Go to Settings > Manage My Accounts.

Can I print copies of my information?

You can download and print any of your information from your myUNCChart or your myWakeHealth accounts at any time. All of your medical records are also archived with Health Information Management. To request medical records in myWakeHealth, go to Messaging>Message Customer Service.

Will I be able to message my doctor in myWakeHealth?

Yes, but the ability to message will not be active immediately when you join myWakeHealth even though you have an existing relationship with a former High Point Regional Health or UNC Regional Physician provider.

Can I view my doctor's notes in myWakeHealth?

Yes, at Wake Forest Baptist, our outpatient doctors use OpenNotes. This means that you can view your doctor's notes from your outpatient clinic visits in myWakeHealth. This feature must be viewed on a computer. It is currently not available on the MyChart mobile platform. To view notes, go to your After Visit Summaries and click on the Notes tab.

Can I view the health record of a family member or another individual in myWakeHealth?

Yes, in certain instances. To protect the privacy of a patient's health information, access to another person's record must be authorized through what is called proxy access. Parents/legal guardians who have received proxy access authorization have full access to records of children under age 12 and limited proxy access for ages 12 to 17.

Important Changes for North Carolina Managed Medicaid Patients

Open enrollment has closed for NC Managed Medicaid. If you did not enroll, NC Medicaid auto-enrolled you into a health plan so there is no lapse in your coverage. You can expect to receive a confirmation notice and a health plan welcome packet from NC Medicaid. New plans took effect on July 1.
