How to register for patient portal?

The University Medical Center Patient Portal is a convenient way to request appointments and prescription refills, ask your doctor medical questions, get test results and medical and immunization records, and ask about medical billing. If you do not have access to the Patient Portal, ask for a temporary username and password next time you visit UMC.

How long does it take to enroll in UMC?

Enrollment takes less than five minutes. If you had a healthcare visit to UMC or El Paso Children's Hospital you should have received an invitation to enroll for the portal via email. If you did not receive an email, please visit the hospital's Registration Department for enrollment assistance.

How many characters should a password have?

Include upper and lower case characters. A password with at least six characters with both uppercase & lowercase letters, special characters and numbers is best for security. Include a mix of upper and lower case characters plus numbers.
