Pinehurst Medical Clinic Imaging department provides diagnostic testing that includes: Bone Density scans; Computed Tomography (CT) scans; Ultrasound and X-ray. These tests must be ordered and scheduled by your physician.

Does Pinehurst Medical Clinic have a CT scanner?

Pinehurst Medical Clinic has a 64 slice Philips Brilliance CT scanner. Our scanner utilizes a low dose feature that allows us to reduce radiation exposure to the patient. Our technologists are registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). We also have Registered Nurses on staff to assist with the CT procedures. Our CT department is located at our 205 Page Rd (East) location.

What is bone density scan?

A Bone Density scan is utilized to aid physicians in the diagnosis of osteoporosis. Our densitometers are state of the art GE/Lunar Prodigy Advance which provide quality images with a low dose of radiation. Our technologists are registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) and have over 20 years experience. Our Bone Density department is located at our 205 Page Rd (East) location and at the Sanford Medical Group (555 Carthage Street in Sanford).
