Dr. Fejos graduated from Dalhousie University with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Fejos completed his physiatry residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia Campus. He also completed a preceptorship in interventional spine at the Lasar Spine Center in New York.

Sylvie was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) and Congenital Pseudarthrosis of the Tibia (CPT). Despite her parents efforts to seek treatment, she fractured her tibia standing still in the bathtub just three weeks after her first birthday. The bones wouldn’t heal; and the outlook was grim after hearing that there was only a 50% chance of achieving bone union with surgery and a 100% chance of re-fracture even if union were achieved.
