Transformative Work. Blaser has dedicated the last 17 years of his prolific career to investigating the microbiome, which is the human equivalent of an environmental ecosystem. He is convinced that the misuse of potent antibiotics has thrown Westerners’ microbiomes out of balance.
Blaser received the 2019 Robert Koch Gold Medal for his life’s work from the Robert Koch Foundation, which cited Blaser ’s work on the biology of H. pylori, a bacterium found in the human stomach that causes ulcers.
“What has become clear is that the relationship between humans and their microbiomes is a really important scientific frontier that will affect the practice of medicine. Knowledge of the microbiome is going to transform our knowledge of human health and medicine.”.
To view your immunization records, click on the Immunization tab, View History, and Print. At the bottom of your record, you will find any missing requirements. You may submit any outstanding immunization documentation through the portal under the Upload tab or via fax (973) 972-0018.
Students are required to have a current valid American Heart Association “Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers” CPR certification. These certifications can be completed at a variety of training centers and are valid for two (2) years from the day that you pass the course. Students will be asked to upload their CPR card to Canvas . Please note only the American Heart Association BLS CPR card is accepted.
