Mount Carmel is a member of Trinity Health, one of the nation’s largest Catholic health systems. Our new patient portal is integrated with other member hospitals and providers from across the country. Mount Carmel changed its electronic health record system in October 2021.
Mount Carmel and Mount Carmel Medial Group have transitioned to a new patient portal, called MyChart, to better meet your needs. Any new visit information from October 9, 2021 and beyond, including prescription refills, visit notes and lab results, will now be in your new MyChart patient portal. You will need to obtain a claim number from your employer. Mount Carmel must include this number on the bill that is sent to the insurance company. If you do not have a claim number from your employer, you are responsible for the entire cost of the services you receive.
You are expected to pay co-payments required by your health insurance plan at the time of service. Mount Carmel will bill your primary insurance company for you. Patients who wish to schedule elective medical and/or maternity services are required to pay a deposit and to make arrangements for payment of the balance of charges prior to receiving such services. A patient financial representative will contact you to arrange payment for your bill. If a balance remains after services are provided, a bill for the amount due will be mailed to you.
In order to keep costs down, we expect payment at the time of service. Co-payments will be collected when you arrive, prior to your visit with the physician. We accept cash, credit or debit cards, and checks. If you have a balance, payment must be made within 30 days unless arrangements have been made with the Office Manager in advance.
