The Moran Eye Center offers free underground parking for all patients and visitors. The underground parking can be accessed from the front of the building on the west side. The Moran Eye Center is situated directly across the street from the University Medical Center Trax stop on Mario Capecchi Drive.

The John A. Moran Eye Center is located by University of Utah Hospital on University of Utah Health’s campus. The center offers eye care ranging from exams and fittings for glasses and contacts to treatment for the most advanced eye diseases. These includes cataracts, glaucoma, corneal disease, retinal disease, and other eye diseases.
Fill your prescriptions at the time of your appointment and we provide same day refills on most prescriptions. In addition to prescription services, we offer a wide variety of over the counter medications and medical supplies.
In an effort to support patients and their families through this process, the Moran Eye Center provides integrated services to patients with vision loss called the Patient Support Program —unique in this region and now modeled world wide.
Each state has its own rules on driving. In Utah, you must have visual acuity of 20/40 for an unrestricted driver’s license; a restricted driver’s license can be obtained if you have visual acuity of 20/100 and if you have a vision statement form signed by your ophthalmologist or optometrist.
