To waive the Student Health Insurance Plan for the 2021-2022 policy year and be credited for the billed amount, you must visit the University Health Plans site and take the steps below: Click on "Waiver Form" on the left-hand side of the page. Complete all required information. Click "Submit".

How many credits are required for a health insurance plan in Massachusetts?

All students enrolled in at least 9 qualifying credits are required by Massachusetts State law to be enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) or be covered by a health insurance plan with comparable coverage. To ensure compliance with Massachusetts law, students who are registered for 9 or more credit hours are automatically billed for the Student Health Insurance Plan.
