Where can I access kindbody care?

Access Kindbody care wherever you are. In-clinic, online, or with one of our partners. Making it easier and less intimidating to start the conversation on fertility. Kindbody aims to be as approachable as possible.

Why is kind clinic closed on Fridays?

In addition to observed holidays, all Kind Clinic locations are closed the first Friday of every month for professional development. YOU HELP KEEP OUR SERVICES FREE BY BEING A PATIENT! When you use insurance to pay for your medication at one of our contract pharmacies, you cover the cost of services for you and uninsured patients!

How do I use the mychristie patient portal?

The MyChristie Patient Portal button will take you to your MyChristie signin, if you set up Face or Touch ID it will be a quick transition into MyChristie. Once in your portal, you can view your care team, appointments, test results and sent messages.

When you use insurance to pay for your medication at one of our contract pharmacies, you cover the cost of services for you and uninsured patients! We also keep our services free through donations and with the support of our trusted volunteers.

Founded in 2015 by community activists and volunteers, Kind Clinic is a national leader in innovative sexual health care that offers patients access to HIV prevention medication known as PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) and PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis), HIV testing and care, STI testing and treatment, and gender-affirming care in Austin and San Antonio. Kind Clinic is a program of Texas Health Action, a 501 (c) (3) community informed non-profit organization dedicated to providing access to culturally affirming, quality health services in a safe and supportive environment with an expertise in serving LGBTQIA+ people and people impacted by HIV. What is Kindbody's goal?

Kindbody aims to be as approachable as possible . The doctors don’t wear lab coats and the offices look more like a chic hangout than a clinic.

Who is Ob Jen?

Dr. Jennifer Mushtaler, affectionately known as “Ob Jen”, is an experienced and respected obstetrician, gynecologist and minimally invasive surgeon. She has been honored to be named a Top Doctor by Texas Monthly and Best of the Best by the Austin American Statesman. Patients say Dr. Mushtaler is warm and caring, but easy with a laugh and friendly smile. One of her lifelong patients explained, “I knew at that moment that she was really caring about me!”

Who is Kristen Cain?

Dr. Kristen Cain is a board-certified Ob/Gyn and Reproductive Endocrinologist who has worked in infertility since completing her fellowship at UCLA in 1995. She was an Assistant Professor at SUNY Stony Brook, before moving on to help start a private practice in Long Island, which grew to the largest infertility practice on Long Island, and the third largest in New York state. She also developed the donor egg and fertility preservation programs while there, opening the first egg bank on Long Island. Dr. Cain moved back to her home state of Minnesota in 2012 to be closer to her family, and was one of three REI doctors serving the entire region of North Dakota, northern Minnesota and eastern Montana. While there, she became a women’s health advocate at the state and national level, working toward improving access to care for infertility patients. Dr. Cain graduated from Jamestown College in North Dakota, and completed medical school at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She completed an internship in Internal Medicine at UVA in Charlottesville, VA before returning to Johns Hopkins for her residency in Ob/Gyn.
