Kristen McFadden completed both her undergraduate degree and Master’s degree at Northeastern University. She is ANCC certified. After graduation, she worked at Massachusetts General Hospital with the Division of Gastroenterology.
You may only need to visit the doctor’s office a few times a year, but we want those visits to be as comfortable and convenient as possible. Our office has been designed to achieve this goal, with a comfortable reception area and well-equipped treatment rooms that maximize efficiency in care.
Gastroenterology (GI Series) A series of gastrointestinal x-rays enables physicians to observe the structure and functioning of the tissue and organs related to your eating and digestive system. The tests can help your doctor to detect ulcers, polyps, tumors, hernias, reflux disorders, Crohn's disease, appendicitis and other bowel diseases.
In addition to a conventional x-ray machine, the procedure uses a fluoroscope, a radiological device that transmits moving pictures of a patient's internal anatomy to a TV monitor. A contrast solution is given so that the soft tissues and organs can be seen inside the body.
