Why can’t I connect to Dameron Hospital’s network?
Because of the different security and firewall settings individuals may have on their PC, Dameron Hospital cannot guarantee or support technical issues when connecting to our network. What is the remote access portal for physicians?
Dameron Hospital has implemented a Remote Access Portal for our physicians to enhance security and make connecting to information easier. The following link enables access to our internal networks and EHRs remotely.
What does a hospital bill cover?
What a hospital bill covers. Your hospital bill will reflect services provided to you by the hospital during your visit. Physicians and other providers will bill you separately for their services. You will need to contact them directly with any questions you may have regarding their billings.
Is Dameron Hospital out of network?
Dameron Hospital cannot make sure that the professionals or physicians who treat you are contracted with your insurance or provider network. Services provided by a professional or physician who is not contracted with your insurance may be considered "out-of-network services.". Your insurance benefits may be reduced for out-of-network services.
Is a physician's bill included in a hospital bill?
Charges for professional or physician services are not part of your hospital bill. Emergency medical care and other medically necessary services provided by professionals or physicians, other than the hospital facility itself, are not covered by the hospital's financial assistance policies.
Exceptions for Special Situations
We continue to require proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test result within 72 hours of visitation for these special circumstance visitors. In extreme circumstances when these cannot be obtained, the hospital supervisor should be contacted to consider granting an exception.
Emergency
Visiting hours do not apply to the emergency department; however, patients are limited to one visitor and required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test result obtained within 72 hours of visitation.
COVID-19 Patients
These changes in policy apply only to non-COVID-19 patients. The no-visitor policy remains the same for patients who have tested positive for COVID-19. Exceptions may be granted in special circumstances, such as a major change in care or an end-of-life situation. These will be approved on a case-by-case basis.
Parking
- Free parking is available at several parking lots adjacent to the hospital as shown on the campus parking map. Pre-op patients may park in the underground parking lot at 420 W. Acacia. Look for the signs to locate reserved parking slots for pre-op patients.
Free Valet Parking
- Free valet parking service is available to all patients and guests of Dameron Hospital. To access the free valet service, follow the signs as you enter the hospital's main driveway entrance off of North Lincoln Street. Cafeteria
- Café 525 is a full-service cafeteria open to the public. It features a grill, deli, hot entrees, soup, salad bar and snacks. Cuisine Express take-out food items are available during cafeteria business hours. Cafeteria hours are from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. Vending machines are available 24 hours daily with a variety of food, snack and drink items.
Personal Calls
- Pay phones are located outside of the Emergency Department near the ambulance bay. Cell phones are permitted in areas where they do not interfere with medical equipment.
Gift Shop
- The gift shop is located in the hospital ground level and is operated by the volunteer staff. Profits are given to the hospital for important projects that benefit our patients. Hours on weekdays are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; weekend hours vary.
Spiritual Services
- We honor and support the spiritual beliefs of all of our patients. You may request to be visited by a member of the clergy. Please provide the name and we will gladly make the arrangements for the visit.
Interpreters
- If you need such assistance, please notify the receptionist at the Information Desk as you enter the hospital. You should also notify your nurse if you have an interpreter need, and the nurse will access the use of interpreters.
