Does Cherry Street Health Center accept Medicaid?

Cherry Street Health Center is welcoming new patients, all ages and most insurances including Medicaid, Healthy Michigan, uninsured and other insurances. A reduced sliding fee payment scale is available for all services for those without insurance.

What is Heart of the City Counseling Center?

Heart of the City Counseling Center provides scientifically validated treatments to ease and heal the emotional pain of depression, anxiety, and much more. The center focuses on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy as well as other types of therapy. A wide variety of concerns and conditions can be addressed including substance use and psychiatric disorders, stress or trauma, family and relationship issues, emotional or sexual abuse, and dealing with life’s unexpected challenges. We provide individual and group treatment as well as consultations with psychiatrists for medications.

Does Cherry Health offer outpatient treatment?

Cherry Health offers multiple substance use disorder services from intensive outpatient to traditional outpatient services. Outpatient substance use treatment is provided by experienced credentialed therapists and is generally facilitated through the use of individual one-to-one sessions lasting 45 to 60 minutes. All therapists are capable of treating persons with both mental health and substance use disorders. Therapists are trained to help patients reduce risky behaviors related to using substances such as tobacco, alcohol, marijuana, and other addictive substances.

A. All patients who do not pay their share of the bill will receive a statement. We do accept payment plans. Amounts outstanding on your account may be referred to a collections agency for further action so it is important to keep your account up to date. Also, carrying a $0 balance allows you and your family access to all services within Cherry Health. If you have not applied for the Sliding Fee Program, you should call the Billing Department at 616.965.8282 and they will help you.
