The Board of Directors of Brighton Marine Health Center approved an initiative on July 30, 2015 to establish an endowment fund of $200,000 to reduce Veterans’ homelessness in and around Boston. The Homeless Veterans’ Endowment Fund is used to assist Veterans by funding expenses associated with obtaining housing that have not been met by public or other financing programs. On October 26, 2017, the Board of Directors approved continued funding to supplement the endowment fund in increments of $50,000 as needed. As of January 31, 2018, the fund has assisted 264 veterans.
In the fall of 2020, Brighton Marine opened a facility for 25 Veterans who call our campus home. Veterans Housing at Brighton Marine is an affordable housing facility featuring 25 apartments specifically for vulnerable Boston-area Veterans.
Housing is only one component of the care that Veterans receive as tenants of the Veterans Housing at Brighton Marine. They also have full access to every partner and program within the Coordinated Veterans Service network and Soldier On, from financial coaches to addiction treatment counselors.
Brighton Marine works with trusted partners, the City of Boston Veterans’ Services and VA Boston HealthCare, to request disbursements for Veterans. These partners have a direct responsibility to house Veterans using VASH certificates and are responsible to provide a list of agents authorized to request funds from the Endowment.

The patient portal can be accessed by any device with an internet connection (smartphone, tablet, etc.). However, the portal is designed to be viewed on a desktop and all features may not be displayed correctly on an alternate device.
When I first met with Dr. Jameson, I had a deviated septum on both sides. Before going right to surgery, Dr. Jameson tried a turbinate reduction surgery. Ultimately, we had to go with septum surgery.
