Choose one of our three convenient locations for your child’s medical home: Tonawanda Pediatrics in West Amherst, Transit Meadow Pediatrics in East Amherst, and Island Pediatrics on Grand Island. We pride ourselves on over 30 years of tradition of excellence, accessibility and caring.
A patient portal is available for patients to communicate with the office and view or update medical information for each patient. We value a partnership between your family and our medical care team. We’ll work with you to promote health and positive quality of life as your child grows and develops into an adult.
You should not expect to receive a response to a Patient Portal message on weekends, holidays, or any other time the Health Center is closed. If you need immediate medical advice when the Health Center is closed, call our main number (413-542-2267) and follow the prompts to speak with an advice nurse.
Think of it as an online account for your pediatrician's office, similar to online banking or credit card accounts you may currently have. Once you are logged into your portal account, the information you view pulls from your child's personal medical record (each child will have his/her own).
Step 1: Click this link for KSL Diagnostics . Step 2: Select "Return to school/prescription COVID RT-PCR testing" Step 3 : Select your desired location. (Please be aware that any WNY immediate care location will require a full visit, we recommend not using this location for testing only) Step 4: Register your child for testing. No appointment or physician order is required. Step 5: Parents will receive an email of the report. Reports are generally issued the same day if collected before 1pm.
All patients scheduled for a visit are required to have an active patient portal account. In an effort to comply with social distancing recommendations as much as possible we have implemented a "no paper exchange" policy in the office requiring any necessary paperwork to be completed via the patient portal. Please speak with any of our staff members to obtain access to your child's account.
We are seeing all age patients in the office for well visits and are encouraging our patients to stay up to date with their preventive care and immunizations.
A message sent through the Patient Portal is more secure than email.
The Patient Portal is monitored during Health Center business hours only. Every effort is made to answer messages by the following business day. You should not expect to receive a response to a Patient Portal message on weekends, holidays, or any other time the Health Center is closed. If you need immediate medical advice when the Health Center is closed, call our main number (413-542-2267) and follow the prompts to speak with an advice nurse. If you need urgent medical care, please call Campus Police at 413-542-2111.
Urgent care evening hours are by appointment from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Monday through Friday, in our Northampton office. If there is an ongoing issue for which you would like your child seen, please schedule a daytime appointment with your child’s regular provider.
4 Years and up: Oral, axillary or ear thermometer. Fever strips are not accurate
Please call our office at (413) 584-8700 to schedule an appointment. For non-urgent questions, please e-mail us at contactus@napeds.com
At each checkup we discuss the whole health of your child including nutrition, growth and development, safety, family and social interactions. We will work with families, teachers, school nurses, psychologists, and other providers to help identify and treat the multitude of challenges facing school age children.
Choose one of our three convenient locations for your child’s medical home: Tonawanda Pediatrics in West Amherst, Transit Meadow Pediatrics in East Amherst, and Island Pediatrics on Grand Island.
Any patient of Tonawanda Pediatrics, Island Pediatrics, or Transit Meadow Pediatrics can be seen at any of the three locations. Our patients cannot be seen at the other Medical Health Associates locations (Williamsville Pediatrics, Suburban Pediatrics, or Western New York Pediatrics). Some of our doctors see patients at more than one of our locations and their patients are welcome to see them at a location other than their primary location. Patients that wish to be seen for a sick visit at a different location than their primary location are also welcome to, even if their primary care physician does not go to that location.
Of course! All of our doctors are accepting newborn patients. If you are unsure we can help you select a physician when you are here for your first visit.
New patients are always welcome! Please proceed to the forms page to fill out our new patient forms and register with our practice.
