How does patientfi check a consumer’s credit score?

With patient’s authorization, PatientFi checks the patient’s credit report. Generally, when a consumer applies for credit, checking a credit report typically influences a consumer’s score. In most cases, a single credit inquiry is unlikely to play a significant role in materially lowering a consumer’s credit score.

What is a soft inquiry?

A soft inquiry is when someone checks your credit report for any number of reasons (renting an apartment, obtaining a job, etc.) and does not affect your credit score. When you apply for a PatientFi loan, we perform a soft inquiry for you to check your rate.

How does patientfi pay my provider?

Once you accept your PatientFi loan and schedule a date for services with your provider, we will pay your provider directly. What’s the difference between a secured and unsecured loan? A secured loan is a loan that has collateral attached to it, such as a mortgage loan (a house) or an auto loan (a vehicle).

What is a hard inquiry on credit report?

A hard inquiry is when a financial institution (a bank, credit card company, mortgage company, etc.) checks your credit report before giving you a financial tool such as a credit card. Unlike soft inquiries, hard inquiries negatively affect your credit score and remain on your credit report for 2 years.

What makes up a Patient?

A patient in FOTO is a person that is evaluated via the Patient Inquiry web application. The evaluation is traditionally done via surveys that result in a risk adjusted predicted outcome reported to the clinician. The evaluation and the risk adjustment drive the data we need to have for patient.

Patient Workflow

Patients are created by the clinics with the Patient Inquiry web application highlighting patients that have been recently been active. All patients that are imported via the API are held in separate location from the active patients.

Importing Patients

The API presents multiple ways for importing patients, managing your imported patients and, for debugging use, the ability to query recently imported patients.
