Patient First: Reviews, Complaints, Customer Claims

16 hours ago  · Patient First - Unethical behavior I went to the Patient First located at 7238 Mechanicsville Tnpk, Mechanicsville, Va 23111 on 10/20/2021. I was having an X-ray, so I had to remove my jewelry. I did not feel comfortable leaving my jewelry out, so I put my jewelry in my sweater. I looked back to be sure my jewelry was securely in my sweater. >> Go To The Portal

What is your experience with patient first?

My experience with patient first is not the best, but not the worst. Management plays favorites in my opinion and gossips a lot. I had a doctor talk about me to another colleague right in front of me about how a patient was registered incorrectly. And was rude and loud about it.

Very rewarding and fun place to work. The patients is the best part of the job!

Patient First has a lot of opportunity to grow and I have always felt very respected by management! The job security is great as well. And they always make sure they take care of their workers.

Great company to work for

It honestly depends on the center but overall I really enjoyed working for the company. Your coworker are what makes it breaks your experience if they aren’t nice it won’t work.

Growing too quickly. Job security! Low pay

The place is growing quicker than they can staff and the patients are rude. They do not pay well but there is extreme job Security which can be a good and bad thing. Plenty of room for advancement.

The staff was great and very helpful. I didn't care for the dress code we were required to wear White scrubs and nobody like them

It's very fast paced one of the busiest location an I only worked for 2 mos. because I had bilateral tib/fib fractures and was out of work for a year.

Good and bad

The system is ancient, literally. The processes are inefficient and outdated. The people are fairly nice and people like to interact with each other. Some of the people, however, are incompetent but HR department loves to stroke and baby instead of lettering them go. A very family oriented company - in many ways.. good and bad.

Great Benefits and Pay

We are incentivized for everything. Any shifts you pick up in addition to your status, they offer bonuses, travel time, mileage, and/or overtime. Corporate is constantly making adjustments to make it easier for us in the centers. They provide thorough training and don’t just throw you into your job.

Overall, you can most certainly count on job security while working here

Since working for this organization, honestly I have been satisfied with my job and employees. Even when it gets stressful, everyone makes it work here.

Good gig

Good work culture Often times free food in break room Great training Short shifts

Low pay

Nice team oriented employees. Each clinic is exactly similar to the 150+ clinics. So every item is in the same location.

Great Company

PTO, 401K, flexible schedule, helpful supervisors, friendly coworkers.

Not Bad

Flexible hours (non 12-hour shifts), no overnights, they pay for certifications.

Good job , ok pay

Extremely busy and can be overwhelming. Pay is ok, but definitely room for improvement.

Great experience at Patient First

One of my favorite things about working at Patient First was the camaraderie among the staff including nurses and ancillary staff. Especially when the center was busy, you need to count on the staff to keep things flowing and keep patients appeased. Although days can be long, I was adequately compensated.

Major Disconnect Between Regional and Centers

You can get an unlimited amount of hours, bonus pay shifts, and all of the overtime you want... but that's only because you're expected to work when you don't have coverage.

Does not recommend Eastern, Pennsylvania

Okay all I can say is that it really is "Patients First" and Employees Last! The 3pm to 10pm shift sucks. If a patient walks in the door at 9:59pm you must see the patient, even though you get off at 10pm when most urgent cares closes by 5pm or at least by 8pm. What urgent care stays open until 10pm, even on a Sunday.

Unfortunate change in workplace values

For many years, Patient First put their employees and patients first. Great benefits, positive workplace, and a focus on developing connections and focus on building teamwork in the workplace.

Great starting position, with opportunities to gain experience in medicine

The OT. You can help out at other centers, and they often offer bonuses. You can cross train as a medical assistant even without experience or certifications in some states if you show you are interested. The benefits are nice too- pto, okay insurance, awesome dental, and free healthcare if you go to patient first.

A lot of oppertunity to grow

Patient First is a great company overall to work for. If you're a hard worker, there is a lot of room to grow. I've worked in the hospital before to get the "hospital" experience and I came back to Patient First for the positive work environment and overall feeling like I could move further up at Patient First; which I did, and very quickly.
