About the Cures Act

The 21st Century Cures Act is a federal mandate that is designed to give patients more access to their medical information. As of March 31, 2021, UI Health is providing test results and provider notes (with a few exceptions) will be released via the MyChart patient portal as soon as they are available.

MyChart updates

Two-step verification helps you safeguard your MyChart account by sending a code to your designated email address or phone number after you log into the portal. While two-step verification is optional, you are encouraged to activate it to add another level of security to your account.
