What services does the cancer care team at PRHC offer?

Jan 18, 2022 · It is located at the Oshawa Campus Ice Centre, 2200 Simcoe St N, Oshawa. Bring the letter your healthcare team gave you. Bring proof of your second vaccine and your health card with you. Talk to your oncologist or nurse if you have questions about any of this information.

Scheduling your first and second COVID-19 vaccines

How you schedule an appointment for the vaccine depends on where you live. In each Public Health Unit, the number of available appointments is decided by the number of vaccines available. More information about this can be found on the website for your local public health unit.

HOW TO REFER TO CANCER CARE

As a patient, its important to remember to complete the Your Symptoms Matter questionnaire within a 24-hour period before any appointment during which you will be seeing your physician. Complete ESAS online.

Look Good Feel Better Program- this program is held the first Tuesday of every month. Call Cancer Care at 705-740-8326 to register for an upcoming session.

What is the Central East Regional Cancer Program?

The Central East Regional Cancer Program Opens in a new window oversees the quality and delivery of cancer services for the residents of Haliburton, Peterborough, Kawartha Lakes, Durham, Northumberland and Scarborough.

Who is Kirsten Burgomaster?

Kirsten Burgomaster is Interim Regional Vice-President of the Central East Regional Cancer Program . In this role, Kirsten works closely with Regional Cancer Program’s leadership, regional clinical leads, partner hospitals and agencies to ensure cancer care in the community aligns with Cancer Care Ontario's goals, standards and best practice guidelines.
