Using a holistic approach to care for the mind, body, and spirit, Operation Samahan provides a comprehensive spectrum of health care and preventive services at its six clinics (including a teen center, senior center, and community collaborative) located across San Diego County. They provide high quality, affordable and culturally accessible primary health care, dental care, behavioral health counseling, holistic health promotion and education, and multi-faceted social services, reaching over 21,000 individuals through direct service and over 8,000 during public neighborhood events.
Operation Samahan joined Live Well San Diego as a recognized partner on April 4, 2015. Founded in 1973, Operation Samahan (a Filipino word for “working together”) developed a mission to “build healthier, happier communities together.” Focused on serving indigent, low-income, uninsured and underserved individuals and families, Operation Samahan promotes better health and living conditions for all members of the community.
