Ronda Bloom, M.D., F.A.C.E. joined North Shore Diabetes and Endocrine Associates in 2005. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dr. Bloom received her undergraduate degree in biology (Cum Laude) at the University of Pennsylvania. From there, she moved to New York to attend Albert Einstein College of Medicine where she graduated with honors. Upon graduation, she completed her Internal Medicine training at Mt. Sinai Hospital and Endocrinology fellowship at New York University. Dr. Bloom is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology. At this time, she is an Attending Physician at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and North Shore University Hospital. Dr. Bloom is a member of the American Diabetes Association and American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. Dr. Bloom is fluent in Spanish.
Kenneth S. Hershon, M.D., F.A.C.E. is a partner and Director of Research at North Shore Diabetes and Endocrine Associate. He is presently the Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. Dr. Hershon is a former New York State Chairman of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology (AACE). He previously served as a national board member of AACE from 2002-2005. Dr. Hershon graduated from Brown University and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. His residency and fellowship were at Mt. Sinai Hospital and the University of Washington, respectively. He is currently affiliated with Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park and North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset.
Hershon is a former New York State Chairman of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology (AACE). He previously served as a national board member of AACE from 2002-2005. Dr. Hershon graduated from Brown University and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Barbara Hirsch, M.D., M. S., F.A .C.E. is an endocrinologist and partner at North Shore Diabetes and Endocrine Associates (www.nsdea.com). Dr. Hirsch is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine. She attended SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine, completed an Internal Medicine Internship at Long Island Jewish Hospital, an Internal Medicine residency program at Mount Sinai Hospital and a Fellowship in Endocrinology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She holds a MS in Narrative Medicine from Columbia University. Dr. Hirsch is board certified in the areas of Internal Medicine as well as Endocrinology and Metabolism. She is a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and member of American Diabetes Association.
Tatiana Baron, D.O. graduated from New York University with a B.A. (Cum Laude) in Biology. She received her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency, and her fellowship in Endocrinology, at Winthrop University Hospital, where she was also a Chief Resident in the Department of Medicine. Dr. Baron is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, and is a member of the Endocrine Society and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. Dr. Baron is fluent in Russian.
Isaac Sachmechi, M.D., F.A.C.E., F.A.C.P. is an associate with North Shore Diabetes and Endocrine Associates. Dr. Sachmechi got his medical degree (CUM Laude) from Israel Technion Medical School, Haifa Israel. He did his residency in the Brooklyn Hospital and was chief resident in the Department of Medicine. He completed his Fellowship in Endocrinology at King County Hospital Center, SUNY Health Science Center Brooklyn. Dr. Sachmechi is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. He is the Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Chief of Endocrinology at Queens Hospital Center. He is a Fellow of American College of Medicine and A Fellow of American Association of Clinical Endocrinology. He is a member of several associations (AMA, AACE, ACP). Dr. Sachmechi has several publications in the field of Thyroid, Diabetes and Lipid Disorders. Dr. Sachmechi is fluent in Farsi and Hebrew.
