How long does a patient portal keep?

The Patient Portal is a method for a patient to keep in touch with their medical office so we only keep the last two years of patient information on the portal. Your previous data is safely available in your full electronic chart in our office.

Can you go to lab tests online?

You will be seeing many different tests that we’ve done for you and may be recommending. You may go to Lab Tests Online to help you understand your testing better. If you have specific questions about your lab results, though, do not hesitate to send us a message about them.

Forms

You’ll need to fill out these forms for your appointment. We prefer that you fill them out and submit them online to limit your waiting time and to give us time to better review your medical history.

Practice policies & information

These practice policies cover billing and our payment policy. You can also get information on our form fees, collection policy, medical record releases and prescription refills.

What is pediatric & adolescent care?

Pediatric & adolescent care focuses on the health of infants, children and patients up to the age of 18. Family physicians not only treat children with acute or chronic illnesses, but they also focus on preventive health. This can include a child’s physical, mental and emotional well-being.

What is the aim of pediatrics?

Family physicians aim to prevent disease and ease symptoms, reduce infant and child death rates, control the spread of infectious diseases and promote healthy lifestyle choices. Pediatric care covers injuries, infections, congenital conditions, organ dysfunction, diseases and cancers.

How does this care differ from adult medicine?

Genetic variance, congenital defects and developmental concerns are more of a focus for younger patients than adults. They all have long-term effects on a child’s health and life. Knowing this information early on will be extremely helpful going forward. Another major difference are the legal issues involved with pediatric and adolescent care.
