What can I do in the patient portal?

The patient portal offers online access to your medical records, appointment scheduling, medication refill requests, and more. At the time your appointment is made, we will ask you to provide an email address.

How do I make an appointment with myneurocare?

Limited in-person appointments are available. Please email us to request an appointment at: appointments@myneurocare.net, and include your telephone number. Or call our office at: (410) 730-6911. Before scheduling a telehealth appointment, please call your health insurance company to verify coverage and copay information.

How do I enroll in the patient portal?

To enroll in the patient portal, you must receive services at one of our locations. To create an account, you may self-enroll here. Alternatively, you may contact the location where you received care and tell them you would like to make an account. Registration requires an email and a valid ID.

First Visit

On your initial visit, we will obtain from you a personal history regarding your present condition and past medical history. The doctor will conduct a comprehensive neurological examination based on your history. The initial examination will usually last 45-60 minutes. If needed, subsequent visits will be scheduled.

Please download and print out our New Patient Information, Medical History, and Office Financial Policy forms from this website, following the instructions below. If you cannot fill these forms out in advance of your appointment, please arrive 30 minutes early to fill them out in our office.

Emergencies

Should an emergency arise at any time, call 911. If you need to speak with the doctor urgently, please call our office at 407.657.7900. At night or on weekends, our answering service will take your name and telephone number. They will contact the physician on call, who will return your call as soon as possible.

Prescriptions

If you should run out of medications prescribed for you by Dr. Pineless before your next appointment, have your pharmacist fax a request to 407.657.7942. Please allow two business days for your prescription refill. Prescriptions will not be filled on weekends or holidays.

How long does it take to see a neurosurgeon?from umms.org

Generally you will spend 45-60 minutes with your provider for an initial visit and 20-30 minutes for a follow up visit. As many of our patients have complex neurological problems, these times are estimates and your time with the physicians may be more or less.

What to bring to a hospital appointment?from umms.org

Please bring medical records and medical images (films or CDs) from your prior providers and hospitalizations and bring them to your appointment for your provider to review.

Is neurology virtual?from umms.org

Virtual appointments are now available for all neurology services to both new and existing patients. We strongly encourage patients to schedule video and/or phone consults for all non-urgent medical concerns. Limiting in-person visits will help prevent the spread of COVID-19, and ensure the safety of our patients and staff. Please contact us to find out if telehealth is available for your next visit.

The RWJBarnabas Health Patient Portal is a free service that provides convenient access to your personal health care information in a secure online environment. With the patient portal, you can view select test results, access your medical records and track your health information.

Is RWJBarnabas Health a centralized portal?

RWJBarnabas Health is in the process transitioning all of our hospitals to a centralized patient portal called MyChart where all hospitals’ records will eventually be contained within one system for your convenience. Please be assured that you will always have access to your medical records.
