Classes: Teens receive health-related education on topics that are relevant to their day-to-day lives.

What is Reach Out and Read?

Reach Out and Read is a national literacy program that distributes new books to infants and children up to the age of five. Children receive age-appropriate books at their wellness exams. Through the Reach Out and Read program at participating Neighborhood locations, more than 9,000 children receive a new book to take home and keep every year. Parents learn the importance of reading to their children out loud, which increases vocabulary and language skills, and ensures children are better prepared to enter preschool and kindergarten. Reading to a child also builds curiosity, cognitive ability, and strong memory skills, even before a child learns to talk. Neighborhood staff members work with families during pediatric exams to model reading out loud with their children. What is Fern Valley Natural Health?

Fern Valley Natural Health works with ChARM EHR, an electronic health system that offers management of patient records, patient billing and a patient portal. Through the portal, patients can access their and their family’s records, pay their balances, message their providers, and view lab reports.
