On Tuesday, May 6 we will be introducing an Over-Receiving option to PeopleSoft Supply Chain Management which will enhance the tracking of goods delivered, improve management of vendor performance, and measure requisition effectiveness. Currently, you can enter desktop receipts for only the quantity listed on the purchase order. In the event a higher quantity is shipped, that information is not reflected on the purchase order and the vendor will not be paid for additional quantities until the discrepancy is addressed. With Over-receiving, you will be able to enter receipts for the full quantity received – what is reflected on the purchase order as well as any additional quantity. You then have a choice to accept or reject the higher quantity.

If you choose to accept the additional quantity for a purchase order which is NOT a punch-out Web item, complete a Change Notice in PeopleSoft updating your requisition with the additional quantity. Once the Change Notice is approved, your purchase order will be electronically updated allowing the vendor to be paid for the additional quantity.

Changes to GL Business Unit/Account Restriction - Access for users has been streamlined so you will now have only specific, valid GL units to choose from when requisitioning in eProcurement reducing the chance for error and slowing down your requisition.

All users will be restricted to select GL units when creating a requisition using the eProcurement > Create Requisition page. For example, TJH will only see valid Hospital GL business units reducing the chance to select an incorrect, unrelated GL unit.
