Why does Virtua automatically make my medical information available to me?

Mar 23, 2022 · In order to maintain patient privacy, the patient must grant access to their MyChart account. This can be done in one of two ways: Within MyChart, select Menu. Scroll down to “Sharing” and select the Adult Proxy Access Request Form. Fill out the form with information about the person for whom you wish to give access to your account.

If you have an e-mail address on file then your MyChart Username will be sent to your e-mail account. If you do not remember any of this information, or you do not have a valid e-mail address on file, you will have to contact the Virtua Access Center at 1-888-Virtua-3 (1-888-847-8823) to help you regain access to your MyChart account.

To see who has access to your records, or to see the status of someone you have added as a proxy: Click on Your Menu, then scroll down and select Share My Record. Then select Friends and family access. The section titled Who Can See My Record will show the list of people you have added as a proxy.
