Family Health Services Patients receiving care from any of our clinics; Madera, Chowchilla, and the Medical Specialty Clinic, can benefit from online access to personal health information. Patients can view their health record; appointment dates, test results, prescriptions, imaging reports and more, whenever and wherever they have access to the Internet.
Madera Community Hospital is committed to protecting the safety and privacy of our patients . Due to the sensitivity of some test results and reports, certain protected health information may not be accessible via the Patient Portal. You may obtain a copy of these records by contacting the Health Information Management Department. .
Valley Children’s MyChart is a new, online patient portal that allows a patient to have personalized and secure online access to their medical record. With MyChart, you can view health summaries and test results, request appointments, contact providers and office staff with questions, pay bills, request medication refills, pass along compliments, share concerns and more.
Log into your/your child’s MyChart and from the left menu, go to the Preferences section and select the appropriate option.
Patients and parents/legal guardians – as “proxy” – can request a MyChart activation code during a hospital, specialty care or primary care visit at any Valley Children’s location . This code will allow you to log in, as the patient or as a proxy, and create your own username and password. If you were not issued an activation code, you may request one through our website at valleychildrens.org/MyChart, call our Health Information Management office at 559-353-5404 or request more information during your next visit.
Completed laboratory results will be available immediately. Radiology results are generally available immediately when completed, unless the test is a more advanced imaging study such as a CT, MRI, or Fluoroscopy. Advanced medical imaging test will be available within 24 hours.
Your provider will determine which types of test results are available through the patient portal. Please note, tests of a very sensitive nature will not be released on the portal.
We take great care to ensure your/your child’s health information is kept private and secure. Access to information is controlled through secure activation codes, personal usernames and passwords. Each person controls their password, and the account cannot be accessed without that password. Unlike everyday e-mail, all MyChart messaging is done while you are securely logged on to our website.
MyChart is owned and operated by Valley Children’s Healthcare and is fully compliant with federal and state laws pertaining to your privacy. Your name and e-mail address will be treated with the same care and privacy given your health records and will never be sold or released by Valley Children’s. Your health and financial data are stored using secure encryption and security technology to protect your information . Patient information is always encrypted, firewall-protected and is under surveillance 24/7.

Providers will update results and answer questions during their regular daily visit. If patients have questions about information in the portal, they can ask a member of the care. The TOL Patient Portal (also referred to as "TRICARE Online" or "TOL") is the current secure patient portal that gives registered users access to online health care information and services at military hospitals and clinics.
If you move back to a non-MHS GENESIS location, you’ll resume use of the TOL Secure Patient Portal for all secure actions (appointing, viewing health data, prescription refills, secure messaging).
MHS GENESIS is the new secure patient portal for TRICARE. It will eventually deploy to all military medical and dental facilities worldwide and replace the TOL Patient Portal.
You will need to contact your medical provider’s office for any technical issues. But before you do, please check that you’re attempting to access your patient portal from a desktop computer using a Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, or Safari browser. This may solve the problem. If not, your medical provider can supply additional assistance.
