Your bill from Mount Carmel is only for hospital services. Depending upon the services you received, you may be billed by your personal physician, other physicians who were involved in your care, and/or physicians who administered/interpreted your test results, and/or provided emergency care, radiology, pathology and/or anesthesiology services.
Patients who wish to schedule elective medical and/or maternity services are required to pay a deposit and to make arrangements for payment of the balance of charges prior to receiving such services. A patient financial representative will contact you to arrange payment for your bill. If a balance remains after services are provided, a bill for the amount due will be mailed to you.
You are expected to pay for all services that Medicare does not consider to be medically necessary and any other services Medicare excludes for any other reason. Check your Medicare handbook for a list of services excluded by Medicare, or visit the Medicare website at www.medicare.gov.
The courtesy cart is an ideal role for individuals who want to volunteer with a friend or a spouse.
If you are at least 18 years of age and are not currently in high school, please complete the application for the hospital at which you would like to volunteer.
The summer program begins in June and ends in mid-August. Our teen volunteers are required to serve once a week, for a four shift in a customer service role. Teen volunteers are allowed one excused absence during the duration of the program.
Volunteers typically serve a four-hour shift , one day per week. Please note that we require a minimum commitment of 6 months or 100 hours from each applicant. Currently, we have limited volunteer opportunities on evenings and weekends.
