What is an outpatient observation?

Outpatient observation. Outpatient observation allows your doctor to assess your condition and decide if you need to be admitted to the hospital as an inpatient or if you can be safely discharged. This decision is based on clinical guidelines about your illness and the services needed for your care.

Does the Medical Center have pastoral care?

Yes. Additionally, the Medical Center's pastoral care department is available. These volunteers, led by Reverend Dr. Margaret "Peggy" Lindsey, seek to supplement and enhance, not replace, the services provided by a patient's own clergy.
