Mile Square Health Center opened its first neighborhood clinic in 1967 and keeps working to help Chicagoans. Our health clinics are located in many neighborhoods across Chicagoland to care for families at every stage of life. We care for nearly 40,000 people a year - whether or not they can pay for it. No matter your race, religion, or income, you can get care from one of the most respected health systems in the country. Mile Square makes getting health care as easy and comfortable as possible.

A medical home means you can get all of your health care through one place. At Mile Square, your care is based on your needs. Most locations offer evening and weekend hours, and accept walk-ins. Mile Square offers many services.

Walk-In Visits

  • Same-day appointments are available on a limited, first-come-first-served basis, and wait times will vary. Our Urgent Care Center also is available – however, due to demand, there may be times that the Center is no longer accepting new patients.

  • Mile Square Health Center provides medical care to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. Mile Square accepts a broad range of payment and insurance plans. Based on their income and family size, many of our patients qualify for low-cost services.

What to Bring

  • When you come to Mile Square, with an appointment or for convenience care, please bring the following: 1. An insurance card for yourself and anyone else in your family who is receiving care (if you have one) 2. A list of all medications you currently are taking, including vitamins and dietary supplements 3. If your children are receiving care, please bring their immunization cards
