Allergy testing and Immunotherapy

Mile High Family Medicine offers allergy testing and immunotherapy. Our allergy departments strives to help patient’s feel better by accurate testing and treatment specifically designed for each patient’s allergies. Our two forms of treatment are weekly injections or daily sublingual allergy drops.

In-house pharmacy

Here at Mile High Family Medicine we have an in-house pharmacy designed to meet the needs of our patients’ urgent care. Prescriptions range between $10-$20 and are dispensed at the time of the appointment.

Supplements

Currently the FDA has no regulatory guidelines on vitamins and supplements. Mile High Family Medicine offers pharmaceutical grade nutraceuticals that are independently tested for both quality and consistency. As a result, consumers, can be confident that their money is well spent on a product that their body can utilize.

Hours

Our office hours are Monday-Friday 7am to 6pm; closing for lunch between 1pm to 1:30pm. We are also open Saturdays from 7am to 5:30pm; closing for lunch between 12pm to 1pm. Our physicians are on-call outside of our normal business hours.

Payment information

We are pleased to accept Visa, Mastercard, cash or personal check. If your check is returned by your bank, you will be assessed a $25.00 returned check fee in addition to the original amount of the check. We encourage our patients to maintain a current account balance and resolve any balances within 30 days.

Insurance

Our office accepts a large variety of insurance plans. To help guarantee that our patients are receiving their maximum benefits, we encourage all patients to contact their insurance carrier to verify that our physicians are in-network with their specific plan.

Michael A. Schindel, M.D. FAAFP

Dr. Schindel has practiced Family Medicine in Lakewood since 1999. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Rohweder is an experienced Board Certified Family Physician. Dr. Borkert practiced medicine in Lakewood from 1987 until 2006 when he moved to Greenville, South Carolina and worked at University Medical Associates. He returned to Lakewood in 2009 as a solo doctor at New Life Family Medicine. In July 2012 he merged his practice with Mile High Family Medicine.

Laura E. Murray, PA-C

Laura was born and raised in Lakewood. She graduated from Regis University in 1998 with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology with a kinesiology minor. In 2003, Laura graduated from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida with a Masters of Medical Science. She enjoys working with patients of all ages.

Terry Cheung, NFP

In the fall of 2006 Terry began his medical career as an Emergency Medical Technician and Firefighter. In 2009, Terry started working as a Registered Nurse at Swedish Medical Center’s neurology and spine unit. The following year an opportunity presented and Terry advanced his nursing career at Saint Anthony Hospital’s trauma and oncology unit.

Jessica Luedtke, PA-C

Jessica Luedtke received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Elon University in North Carolina. She completed her graduate work at Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania where she was awarded a Masters of Health Science Degree and became a certified Physician Assistant.
