Infertility is usually defined as not being able to get pregnant despite trying for one year. It’s a problem for one out of every six couples. The University of Michigan is proud to offer individualized evaluation and treatment tailored to each couple's needs, history, and desires. Both male and female fertility specialists see patients at the Center for Reproductive Medicine, and regular provider communication allows for the creation of a unique plan to maximize each couple's chances for success.

Since opening in 1998, MRM uses only electronic medical records (EMR) to maintain the highest standards and avoid errors often caused by using paper files. We have embraced technological advances early and often.
During routine inspections required for infertility clinics: MRM consistently received the coveted “perfect score” certification from the College of American Pathologists-American Society for Reproductive Medicine (CAP-ASRM). In 2020, we began certification with The Joint Commission (JC), which has even higher standards.

The RMA of Michigan IVF program attributes a lot of their success to having three very skilled and knowledgeable reproductive endocrinologists, Brad Miller, M.D., Lynda Wolf, M.D., & Karen Wheeler, M.D. Along with their experienced and dedicated support staff they have been able to create a winning team that understands the complex world of infertility. As a result, RMA of Michigan is one of the most trusted fertility clinics in Michigan.
For many patients the biggest reason why they cannot pursue many of the fertility treatments like IVF is because of cost. Most patients who go to fertility clinics in Michigan do not have fertility coverage. Unfortunately, due to no fertility coverage a lot of patients cannot pursue IVF or patients have to delay pursuing treatment, which does not help their chances of success. Fertility centers in Michigan have to be able to offer their patients options to help make IVF more affordable. At RMA of Michigan, knowing that IVF is a big expense, there are a number of financial resources available for patients. This includes an IVF multi-cycle discount plan that might appeal to eligible IVF patients.
IVF in Michigan and throughout the country has improved tremendously over the years. To be a top fertility clinic in Michigan you have to offer the most cutting edge technology when it comes to IVF. At one time, it was common for a woman to have three or four embryos transferred in an IVF cycle .
We are pleased to offer a fertility support group, which generally takes place the second or third Tuesday of every month from 7-9 PM. Spouses, partners and friends are welcome. Michigan Reproductive Medicine is happy to perform satellite ultrasound monitoring and same day labs (Estradiol, Progesterone, FSH and Quantitative HCG) for other infertility clinics. We have assisted many IVF clinics with patients requiring monitoring for frozen embryo transfer and egg donor cycles. We can also perform saline infusion sonohysterography (SIS) with 2-D and 3-D vaginal ultrasonography and in-office hysteroscopy to assess the cervical canal, endometrial cavity and fallopian tube patency.
We are pleased to offer intrauterine insemination (IUI) procedures to your patients. The timing of IUI is based on when ovulation is going to occur. Our physicians often say, “the eggs have no regard for weekends and holidays.” Although many referring physicians perform IUI procedures in their office during their regular office hours, weekend and holiday times for IUI may be outside the scope of your office hours and staffing commitments. We provide IUI procedures every day of the year, including weekends and holidays, to support you in the care of your patients.
