What to do before admission to UMHs?

Prior to admission, a UMHS representative may contact you to obtain information about insurance benefits or other payment arrangements. If your insurance requires pre-certification before admission, be sure to let your doctor's office know so arrangements can be made in a timely manner. UMHS staff may notify you before admission about any portion of your bill that will not be covered by your insurance. In that case, a deposit will be required upon admission for the amount not covered by insurance.

Insurance & Financial Assistance

The Samuel and Jean Frankel Cardiovascular Center accepts most insurance plans including various managed care plans. We recommend that you check with your health plan to determine health care coverage at the University of Michigan before scheduling your hospital or clinic visit.

Payments

Contact Patient Customer Service at 1-855-855-0863 to make arrangements if you cannot pay your balance in full. All patients are responsible for balances due on their accounts, and payment is due upon receipt of the bill. UMHS employs third-party collection agencies to help us resolve#N#unpaid balances.
