We welcome visitors from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Visitors should be free from colds, sore throats or other contagious conditions. Children should never be left unattended. Visits by children may be restricted based on the patient's condition. Please check with the attending nurses.
Free parking for patients and visitors is available near all entrances to Mercy and the surrounding office buildings. Please be sure to lock your car and keep valuables in the trunk.
We want to protect our patients and staff from infectious diseases. For this reason, we follow guidelines, called Standard Precautions, when caring for our patients. This helps prevent the spread of organisms (germs) between patients. These precautions include good hand washing and wearing gloves when appropriate.
Cell phone use is prohibited in patient care areas as it may interfere with the function of critical medical equipment. You may notice some of the patient care staff using personal cell phones.
The Auxiliary operates the Auxiliary Gift Shop, located in the front lobby. The shop offers gift items, jewelry, magazines, paperback books, greeting cards, candy, toiletries and many other unique gifts.
The chapel is located within the hospital. It’s open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and is available to people of all faiths.
Having a loved one in the hospital can be physically and emotionally draining. Members of the Pastoral Services staff are available to assist you, whatever your religious affiliation. Your priest, minister or rabbi is always welcome to visit during your stay. For information, call 417-678-7842.
Displays are available to inform you where you can connect. You can also search for the wireless network (SSID) that begins with "Guest-" and check if you are in a covered area. Make sure that you have a "Good" or "Excellent" signal strength when you connect your computer to the wireless network.
