Does Mercy Health pay Medicare?

Mercy Health participates with Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Michigan and many other insurance payers . It is up to you to make sure you complete any claim forms and provide your insurance carrier with any information they may need to cover your claim. We bill your insurance company directly, according to the information provided when you received care. Your insurance company has 60 days to respond with payment. If there is a remaining balance after this time, the amount becomes your responsibility. Balances 90 days past due are subject to collection agency action unless prior arrangements are made.
