The Diabetes Self-Management Program at Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital is an American Diabetes Association Recognized Program. The purpose of the training is to provide patients with the knowledge, skills, and motivation to effectively manage diabetes and to avoid or delay the complications of this disorder.

Cerner Millennium clinical information systemMemorial Hermann uses a Cerner Millennium clinical information system. The system has implemented full “whole house” CPOE at three of its hospitals and has four more going into place.
After 9 p.m. all visitors must enter through the Emergency Center and check in with security. Security will notify the nursing unit to verify whether the patient is able to see visitors. Once verified, visitors will be escorted up to the floor by security.
Hours of operation: Mon - Fri: 6:30 am - 7:15 pm. Sat and Sun: 6:30 am - 1:30 pm.
An interfaith Chaplain is available at any time of day or night to meet your religious and spiritual needs. To reach the Chaplain, ask your nurse or any caregiver to have him or her paged.
When you want it”. You may order any of your meals at any time between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Check the ‘Room Service Menu’ located in your room for specific meal ordering instructions.

When requesting medical records acting as the medical power of attorney, we will ask that you supply a copy of the medical power of attorney as well as the physician statement citing that the patient is unable to make medical decisions.
In addition, your physician can also ask that your medical records be sent to their office by requesting your medical records on his/her office letterhead and faxing back to the Release of Information Department.
