How do I get my medications refilled?

Please contact your pharmacy to request a prescription refill. The pharmacy will contact us for authorization. The pharmacy will let you know the status of the request. Please allow 24 - 48 business hours for a response.

How long will it take for me to find out about my lab or any procedure results?

Results typically take five to ten business days to be processed and reviewed. Please call the physician’s medical assistant if you have not heard from our office after ten business days. Note, stat and urgent test results will have a quicker turnaround time.

When should I start getting my routine Mammograms done? How often?

Guidelines suggest you get one base line between ages 35-40, then yearly after age 40.

At what age and how often should I get my first routine colonoscopy?

You should receive your first colonoscopy at age 50. We suggest you receive a routine colonoscopy every five years thereafter.

What is the online patient portal?

The patient portal is an encrypted web service that gives patients the capability to contact their physician’s assistant via electronic correspondence, view lab results, and request appointments.

How do I get a lab order contact for the order?

You should contact your physician’s medical assistant for the lab order.

Do you accept my medical insurance?

We accept most commercial PPO plans, some HMO plans, and Medicare. To be sure, please call your insurance company to see if your particular plan is contracted with Medical Colleagues of Texas.
