On patient registration, add the Medicaid/MCO information and save. On Portal, call up the PEF and resave. This should change the payor code from 1 to the appropriate payor code for Medicaid/MCO. If an AR invoice was created on Portal and the patient does not owe any money for the services received, adjust off the AR created on Portal.

TOL Secure Patient Portal

The TOL Patient Portal (also referred to as "TRICARE Online" or "TOL") is the current secure patient portal that gives registered users access to online health care information and services at military hospitals and clinics.

MHS GENESIS Patient Portal

MHS GENESIS is the new secure patient portal for TRICARE. It will eventually deploy to all military medical and dental facilities worldwide and replace the TOL Patient Portal.

What is the Ohio Department of Medicaid?

In early 2019, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine called on the Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) to ensure Ohioans get the best value in providing quality care. To inform the process, we launched our first RFI to collect feedback and suggestions from individuals who receive services through managed care, providers, advocacy groups, and community-based organizations.

How many managed care plans will be available in 2021?

On April 9, 2021, ODM announced the selection of six managed care plans to lead the department’s evolution of managed care services for its more than 3 million members and thousands of medical providers. In Fall 2020 , Ohio Medicaid released its RFA for the Managed Care Procurement for those interested in becoming managed care plans for children and adults within the Ohio Medicaid program. After the RFA response period closed, ODM evaluated the responses to the RFA, and the applicants were required to conduct oral presentations.
