What is Austin Kidney Associates?

We are dedicated to the care and treatment of patients with kidney disorders, kidney transplant patients and patient who are on dialysis. We have multiple locations servicing Austin and the surrounding areas for your convenience.

How long does it take to get a prescription refilled?

If you need a prescription refilled, please contact your pharmacy. The pharmacy will send us a fax or electronic request for your refill. Please allow 48 hours for a routine refill. If you have a prescription related question, please call our office during normal business hours.

How to contact a physician at the Medical Exchange?

One or more physicians are on call 24 hours a day. After hours, our on-call physician (s) can be reached by calling the Medical Exchange at (512) 458-1121.

Does Austin Kidney Associates accept Medicare?

Austin Kidney Associates accepts most insurance plans in our area including Medicare, Medicaid, HMO's, PPO's and indemnity insurance plans. Please check with your insurance company to verify that we are providers for your plan. If you are part of an HMO or other plan that requires referrals to our office, please coordinate with your primary care physician for a referral prior to your appointment with us. If we are not participating with your plan, please let us know, and we will work with you to obtain an individual agreement for your care.
