What is a patient portal?

The Patient Portal is your medical home on the Web. With Patient Portal, you can connect with your healthcare team and access medical information through a convenient, safe, and secure environment.

Why is the Patient Portal important?

The Patient Portal offers easy access to your medical information and tools that will make it easier to participate in decisions about your health. Stay informed by viewing your most up-to-date medical records, including test results.

Can you see lab results on Portal?

Most common lab test results will be viewable in your medical record. Sensitive test results (e.g., HIV tests) will be restricted from view on the Portal.

How long does it take to respond to a portal message?

We strive to respond to most portal messages within 48 hours (Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm). Please note that these response times exclude weekends and holidays.

Can a minor create a separate patient portal account?

In either case, an email will be sent to the minor prompting him or her to establish their new separate Patient Portal account. Once a minor creates his or her Patient Portal account, the minor can then choose to grant access to a parent or guardian.

How old do you have to be to create a patient portal?

Because we encourage our teenage patients to take an active interest in their health, patients 13 years of age and older can create their own Patient Portal account.

Can you use the Patient Portal for urgent care?

No. The Patient Portal’s secure electronic messaging features should not be used for urgent care matters. In the case of an emergency, dial 911.

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) may apply to the Lakes Region Community College nursing program to earn an Associate’s degree in nursing. LPN applicants who successfully meet all of the admission requirements may be eligible for admission on a space available basis
