I enjoy bedside report. Pros: Encourages continuity of care, prevents med errors (especially with heparin drips, vasopressors, etc.), and involves the patient. Reduces overtime if you "prime" the patient, meaning you review plan of care waaaay before report. Also, cuts down on needless chatter between staff ("Oh how are your kids? Etc.") Cons: Depends..
