Our patient portal allows established patients to communicate more easily with us. The portal is not intended for ‘Internet Doctor Visits’ or new problems. Instead, it will make regular communication more flexible.

Is Lincoln Internal Medicine still open?

With the current coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic, we at Lincoln Internal Medicine are trying to make accommodations for patients. We are still open to see patients and can be reached with any questions. We are now offering telehealth visits from home using your phone or computer for some conditions. Medicare and most insurances are covering the telehealth visits. Please know that some conditions still may require office visit and/or lab for evaluation. Speak with the nurse if you are interested.

Does LIMA do lab tests?

LIMA does do some tests where the specimen is taken here and sent out to a “Reference Lab” for processing. If you have questions please be sure and check with your laboratory tech and they can explain if any of your tests require us to send the specimen out. Also if we do send it out then you will receive a statement or bill from them as well.

Can an internist do pelvic exams?

Internists can provide routine pap smears and pelvic exams. Some patients prefer to continue seeing a gynecologist for their exams, while their internist manages their other problems.
