Where is Dr. Peterson?

Dr. Peterson, is a managing member and founder of Summit Pediatrics. She received her B.A. in Biology from Augsburg College before completing her Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University. Dr. Peterson then completed her Pediatric Residency at Children's Mercy Hospital. From 2011-2013 she served as the Director of Education for Children's Mercy South Emergency Department. Behavioral concerns, asthma, and obesity are special areas of interest to Dr. Peterson. Personally, Dr. Peterson has lived in Kansas City since 2005. She and her husband have two young children. She enjoys international travel, tennis, golf, playing piano, and visiting their extended families’ lake home in Minnesota.

Where is Dr. Grumke?

Dr. Grumke joined Summit Pediatrics in August 2019. He recently completed his last year of residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital right here in Kansas City where he has been mentioned by many as one of the best up and coming pediatricians. He graduated from the University of Missouri School of Medicine in 2016 where he completed his Doctorate of Medicine prior to beginning his pediatric residency. Dr. Grumke has special interests in preventative care medicine helping guide families through the many stages of a child’s life, medical education, asthma and infectious disease prevention as well as mental health care. Dr. Grumke enjoys the outdoors where you can find him cycling, running, or hiking in his free time. He enjoys reading books, traveling, global medicine outreach, and anything and everything our great city of Kansas City has to offer. Dr. Grumke will be accepting all types of patient appointments and is excited to begin serving new and established families here at Summit Pediatrics.

Where is Dr. Menard?

Dr. Menard joined Summit Pediatrics in 2017 after completing her residency in Pediatrics at The University of Kansas Medical Center. She is a graduate of Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences where she completed her Doctorate and a Master’s degree in Bioethics. While she has enjoyed her time at KU, she will quickly tell you she is a huge Wildcat fan as she received her Bachelors in Biology and minor in Spanish from Kansas State University. Dr. Menard enjoys working with parents and guiding them through the ups and downs of parenthood while watching their kids grow each year. Dr. Menard also has an interest in serving and helping children with behavioral, nutritional, and obesity challenges. Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her family on the weekends enjoying the outdoors.

Who is Dr. Myers?

Dr. Myers has been with Summit Pediatrics since 2013 and has been serving families as a Pediatrician since 2002. She is a Kansas City native and attended the University of Missouri for her Undergraduate and Medical Degrees before completing her residency at Children's Mercy Hospital. Working with first time parents and watching the children and families grow are her favorite part of working at Summit Pediatrics. She also has a special interest in breastfeeding education. Dr. Myers greatest joy is her family, and she most loves to spend time with her husband and four young children. They are active members of the Lee’s Summit community, and you are likely to see her around town enjoying her children’s sporting events and activities.
