Lahey Hospital & Medical Center’s physical therapy service is comprised of nearly 70 licensed therapists and therapy assistants who provide services to patients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease or other causes.
Working as a team with physicians, nursing staff, occupational therapists and other hospital staff, these therapists provide patients with world-class rehabilitation care while in the hospital. By helping inpatients, the therapists’ primary goal is for them to achieve a safe and appropriate discharge from the hospital.
