What happens after surgery at Knightsbridge surgery center?

Your doctor's office will provide you with a username and password to give you Patient Portal access. You can also get access by calling our Customer Service Department at (614) 423-6916 or toll-free at (844) 245-5538. The first time you log in, you will need to review the consent forms and click on next, then check the box, and click on agree.

What is the phone number for a medical bill?

If you have questions about what you owe, please call 614-273-0400 and ask for billing. Be sure to bring any paperwork your doctor gave you, such as test results or your medical history. Also bring a list of medications you are taking, including supplements/vitamins.

How to contact the surgery center?

If you prefer not to register online (or are having difficulty) please call the Surgery Center at 614-273-0400 to speak with one of our pre-admission testing nurses. Your doctor or the Center’s pre-admission testing nurse will instruct you as to what time you are to stop eating and drinking prior to your surgery.

Can you drive home after surgery?

For your safety, please arrange for an adult to drive you home after surgery. You will not be allowed to drive yourself home if you received anesthesia. Be aware that children under age 10 are not permitted in patient care areas . Please plan accordingly.

What happens after surgery?

After surgery, you will be moved to the recovery area where you will be closely monitored until you are ready to go home. An appropriate nurse to patient ratio guarantees our patients receive the optimum nursing care they deserve.

How to take care of a swollen ear after surgery?

Take a shower both the evening before and the morning of your procedure. Wash thoroughly paying particular attention to areas where an incision may be made. Leave all valuables at home. This includes all jewelry, contacts, etc. For your safety, please arrange for an adult to drive you home after surgery.

How long does it take to get out of anesthesia after surgery?

When you are fully awake, your family will be able to join you. Although the times may vary, most patients are discharged within one hour after surgery.

ESTIMATED FEES AND INSURANCE INFORMATION

Our staff will verify insurance coverage for the facility fees prior to surgery. If your insurance policy does not provide 100% coverage of the planned procedure, please be prepared to make a deposit on the day of surgery for the co-insurance and/or deductible portion of the facility fee.

YOUR BILL

After your surgery, Knightsbridge Surgery Center will prepare a bill for your surgery.

PAYMENT OPTIONS AND CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED

For your convenience, we accept: VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and CareCredit. Because debit cards contain daily maximums, please check your daily limit before presenting a debit card for your payment.

FOR SELF-PAY PATIENTS

Patients without insurance, or who are self-payers, will be required to sign a form acknowledging they understand their procedure is not covered by insurance.
