Patient Experience Research Briefs: Patient Experience Brief Reports describe limited results of original research in an abbreviated format. These studies are not appropriate for full-length manuscripts but may report a new methodological approach or describe preliminary research results. For example, this format is appropriate for original studies with smaller sample sizes. The manuscript should address an important patient experience issue, clearly describe the implications of methodological limitations, and adhere to author guidelines. Include sample sizes, methods, primary results, and limitations. Do not exceed 1,500 words (excluding abstract and references). Include an unstructured abstract of no more than 100 words, 15 references, and two tables or figures. Include the following headings: Introduction, Method, Results, Discussion, Limitations, and References.
