Dr. Johnson performed her internship and residency at the Medical University of South Carolina; she was chief resident her final year of training.

Where did Dr. Johnson go to college?

Dr. Johnson graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine where she was honored with the university’s academic excellence scholarship as well as early admission into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society.

Where is Dr. Johnson from?

Dr. Johnson was born and raised in Kentucky. After graduating first in her class from Bourbon County High School, she graduated from the University of Tennessee where she was the recipient of several academic scholarships. She was an active member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority including being her chapter’s Membership Chairman and Vice President. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with the University of Tennessee’s highest honors.
