Booster doses are currently available to patients who have completed their first round of vaccinations and it has been more than 5 months since your last dose.
All Missouri residents 5 years and older are eligible to receive the COVID 19 vaccine.
The vaccine itself is free to Missouri residents. However, there may be an administration fee. This administration fee might be covered by your insurance.
Immediately after receiving the vaccine, you will be required to wait for 15 minutes. If you have a previous history of anaphylactic reaction, you will be required to stay for 30 minutes instead.
You must be free of COVID-19 symptoms for 14 days prior to receiving the vaccine.
After receiving the vaccine, you will not gain immunity immediately. One week after your first shot, you will have some resistance to the virus, and about a week after the second dose you will have about a 95% chance to be immune to the virus.
